Today in church I had another amazing encounter with Jesus. I was standing on the stage with the rest of the worship team, lost in the glory of God's presence. Our Pastor came up during the song set and passionately encouraged us to go deeper into worship. He used quotes from Jacob like, "I will not let go until You bless me," and Moses, "if you won't go with us, we don't want to go." The more scriptures he recited, the more intense the Presence of God became.
Suddenly, the sound around me began to fade and all I could hear was our worship leader playing "Tremble" by Mosaic on the keyboard. I closed my eyes and was met by the vision of a beautiful green field with the sun creating a beautiful golden glow on the grass. I then heard Jesus whisper, "Dance with Me!" He took both of my hands in His and we swayed from side to side. I became conscious of the fact that I was actually swaying as I stood on the stage and the rest of the worship team was singing. I heard God say, "Stay with Me! Keep dancing." Uncontrollable tears burst from my eyes. The moment was so beautiful I could hardly breathe.
When I opened my eyes, I saw that there were multiple people standing at the altar and our prayer team began to pray. I went down from the stage to receive prayer and one of the ladies, who I admire greatly because she is a carrier of his Presence, began to pray for me. She then grabbed my hand, placed her other hand on my arm and we simultaneously began to waltz. When I realized what was happening, I told her of the vision I had moments earlier and we just laughed. I was still holding her hand when the Pastor took my other hand in his. I immediately felt a bolt of power hit me. It was as though every part of my body clenched up. I became hot, sweaty and started shaking. It was so intense that I lost all of awareness of where I was, what I was doing and who was around me. All I could do was simply receive what God threw at me until it was over. I can't even begin to describe how full I felt.
I believe it is God's desire to dance with us. Not just dance but simply be in our presence. He wants us to choose to be with Him and love on Him. Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT) tells us that "the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty Savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears.[a] He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” He will take DELIGHT (great pleasure) IN YOU with gladness. It didn't say 'when you', 'if you' or 'after you.' There are no conditions on His wanting to be with you. You don't have to be perfect, you just have to be willing. He wants to be with you now, as you are.
I encourage you to take the time to sit in God's presence and don't let go until He blesses you.
